Growing in faith and knowledge
1 Peter 2:2-3 says, "2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good." just like all living things, Christians, those who follow after Jesus as his disciples ought to grow as well. Spiritual growth looks a little different for each individual, but according to the Bible everyone should be growing in their understanding and application of God's Word, responsiveness to the Holy Sprit, love for one another, and worship of God.
Just like a living thing there are seasons of rapid growth, slow growth, and even dormancy. Whatever the stage, our desire is that anyone part of our church knows how to step into opportunities for spiritual transformation, spiritual growth. For some it is a small group of those interested in challenging each other, for others it is participating in a large classroom setting, and for others it is one on one learning.
Whichever stage you might be in, rapid growth, slow growth or dormancy, we desire to meet you where you are and encourage that spiritual growth. The growth and change in our lives brings God great glory and honor as we see real change in our lives. We do this together, encouraging each other and "speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Eph 4:15-16).
