Pick a Date, Pick a Place

Take a summertime plunge! Several people are hosting BBQ's in their homes and they'd like you to join them. Come and connect at a date and place that works for you. Call Suzanne Riddle in the church office. She'd love to help you with a connection.

Communion

Those with food allergies have the option to receive gluten free of milk free bread. Visit the station to the left of the stage and ask for it.

Sky High Trampoline Jump  Night

July 15, 6-8 pm at Sky High Sports in Naperville (2244 Corporate Lane, Naperville, 60563). All ages welcome. Cost: $9 each. Signups begin July 7. There will be a specially designated 6 and under court.  All jumpers under 18 years of age will need to have a signed waiver from their parents.

All Church Picnic

Sunday, August 18 following the second service.  Save the date - more details to follow.

Building

During the summer months the building will close at 5 pm on nights when there are no scheduled activities. Please schedule building use at least one week in advance to facilitate keeping the building open and staffed.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a program of our congregation that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care for those who are experiencing any kind of life need and circumstances.
Training classes for new Stephen Ministers are being offered at two local churches:

• Crossroads Community Church: the classes are every Saturday in October.
• Grace Pointe Church: the classes start Thursday, September 12 and run through April 2014.

If you are a member of NPC and interested in becoming a Stephen Minister, please complete an application and submit to Jack Kelly or Cindy Hennessy at NPC. If you have any questions please contact Cindy Hennessy or Jack Kelly.

Kingdom Building Prayer

Kingdom Building Prayer meets on the 3rd Sunday during the Worship Service. Join us downstairs in Room 046.

Opportunity to Serve

NPC Church Planting Missionaries Chad and Jody Lewis serve in Chicago at The Lincoln Square Church. One of the ministries this inner city church is undertaking is to establish a food pantry. They have secured a building but need help in getting it operational. We have identified July 13 as a work day when some of us from NPC will be able to help with building prep, cleaning and decorating. Please contact Larry Lorimor for more information.

Women

Dinner Out: Wednesday, June 19, 6:30 pm at Heaven on Seven in downtown Naperville. RSVP to Sandy.Marx@bp.com by Monday, June 17.

Moms with children 5 and under: Summer is here and it's a great time to get outside with the kids and enjoy nature and each other's company. We have planned 3 outings this summer. Join us Wednesday, June 26, 12:30 am at Phillips Park in Aurora. We'll meet at the playground. Contact Claire Ingersoll with questions. Check out other upcoming activities.

Men

In transition between jobs? Join us on Wednesdays, 7-8:30 am for encouragement, prayers, coffee and bagels. Contact: David Hubbard.

High School (HSM)

Summer Living: meets the following Wednesday nights at Don's house: June 19, July 10, 24 and 31. July 17 we will meet at the DeMaso's home.  Parents, if you can help provide dinner on one of our nights, please contact Tracey Bouton at the church office.

Incoming Senior Retreat: August 3-4. Depart 10 am and return to NPC on Sunday at 6 pm. Forms are online.

Middle School (MSM)

Summer Herd: is off tonight (June 16). We will meet at NPC from 5:30-7:30 pm on June 23. We are excited to welcome the new 6th grade class.

Summer Permission Form: including both our upcoming events is at the Welcome Center and online. Next up: July 21, Centennial Beach, 2-6 pm. Cost $5 at the gate.

Children (CM)

Vacation Bible School: June 17-20, 9 am-11:30 am. Forms are online and at the CM Info Desk.  Form.

Just a reminder: all incoming K-3rd graders attend BLAST! for the summer. Pick up these children from their classroom upstairs. All incoming 4th/5th graders will attend worship with their families.
