Hurricane Harvey Disaster Response

NPC is working with the Mission to North America (MNA), part of the Presbyterian Church in America, Disaster Response Team to meet the immediate and long-term needs of families that have been affected by the flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.

NPC will be sending a rebuilding team to Houston from December 31, 2017-January 6, 2018.  We will be working with MNA.  They will set up housing and work projects for the team.  Michael Langer and Trinity Church (Palos Heights) will be partnering with us.
The trip will cost about $500.  If you would like to help, but can't go yourself, please feel free to support those who can go.  A check written to NPC with Houston Recover Trip in the memo line will help defray the cost of the trip.If you would like to receive more information about joining that team,
email Paul Veach.

We have an opportunity as a church to directly support the on-site work through the purchase of relief kits. These kits and flood buckets are needed by the hundreds when a flood occurs. Please consider responding to this need by purchasing one or more of the following kits through our website (select Hurricane Relief from the dropdown menu).

Relief Kits
Hygiene Kit, $13
Bedding Kit, $50
Cleanup Kit, $65

If you would prefer to assemble a kit yourself, please see the guidelines from the MNA website. Bring them to NPC and we can ship them for you.

Checks to NPC designated "Hurricane Relief" can be dropped off at the office or in the collection on Sunday.
