Deacon Project: Care Bags for Hesed House

Start: Sun, October 11   End: Sat, October 17 | 9:30am - 9:30pm

The Deacons are pleased to support the Hesed House in partnership with Meadowbrook Manor to supply 100 “Care Bags” of essential, everyday items to those who are homeless in our community.  You can join us in this effort in one of the ways below:

1) Financial giving online — Donate funds and the deacons will do the shopping. Visit the ONLINE GIVING tab on the church website and select “Partner of the month: Deacon Hesed House Drive." Monetary donation deadline is 10/16.

2) Volunteer - Help the deacons by shopping with the funds that were donated.  Email Joe Angel at deacons@npchurch.org to help in this way.

3) Donate items — Purchase items from the list below and drop them off in one of the red bins labeled “Deacon Project: Hesed House Care Bags” which are located in the alcove outside of the main church doors.

Suggested items: notes of encouragement, socks, hats, gloves, toiletries, alcohol free mouthwash, emory boards, ace bandages, antibacterial soap, Kleenex, combs/brushes, baby wipes

*Please have your items to the church by Oct. 17.

During these difficult times, it's important to remember that our mission as members of the body of Jesus Christ is to love God and care for one another.  As such, the Deacons are ready and equipped to respond to the unique needs that you might be facing, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Please email NPCDeacons@npchurch.org if you or someone you know are in need of assistance.  You may also call the church office at 630-961-0579 and leave a detailed message.

May we all heed the words from John 13:34-35, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
