Sunday Mornings

In our worship together at NPC, we give glory and praise to God as we remember and celebrate the gospel of Jesus Christ and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit.

On Sunday mornings, our worship services start at 8:30am and 10:45am, each lasting just over an hour. We have a casual atmosphere and we livestream our 8:30am service for those who are not able to join us in-person.  Our services are contemporary in style and participatory in nature through the use of Scripture, prayer and music, the preaching of God's Word, and the celebration of the sacraments. At NPC, children who are Kindgarten-age and older participate in worship with their parents during the service. We offer childcare for Walkers through PreK during both services. Infants remain with their parents in worship, but we offer various spaces for parents to care for them while viewing the livefeed.

Learn More

Besides Sunday Morning Worship, we encourage people of all ages to plug into our Growth Groups or serve on a ministry team.  To find out more about who we are and what we believe, we invite you to our next Discover NPC series. Our membership class, Join NPC, is available for those who are ready for a deeper commitment to the local church. Naperville Presbyterian Church is committed to bringing glory to God! We are continually being made new by Jesus Christ. Find out more about Our Vision of the church.

Join NPC

By becoming a member, you are first acknowledging your brokenness before a Holy God and trusting in Jesus Christ for eternal salvation. Secondly, you are making a commitment to the local church, both to serve in ministry and to be ministered to by the pastors, elders and other caring servants within the community.

If this is a step you would like to take, we invite you to take our membership class. Enjoy getting to know Pastor Dane, and learn more about what it means to be a church member. Contact SusanAcanfora@npchurch.org for more information.

Discover NPC
Offered Twice a Year

This series, led by our elders, is designed to help you discover more about NPC, who we are, and what we believe. This class is for you if you are new to the church, or if you've been around a while and have questions. Offered in the fall & spring, this class is a great first step and is required if you wish to take our membership class and join NPC.

What time are the services?

We have two in-person services: 8:30am (masks required) and 10:30am (masks optional). The 8:30am service is available via livestream on our YouTube channel.

Do I need to dress up?

Only if you want to! You will find our community ranges every week from suits and dresses to jeans and flip flops. All are welcome.

What is there for kids on Sundays?

While children of all ages are welcome to worship with us, we do have early childhood classes (walkers thru Prek) during both services. Children ages 2 and up are required to wear masks during the 8:30am service, and masks are optional during the 10:30am service. Children Kindergarten thru 5th grade worship with their families. Infants will remain with parents in the service for now. Between services, there are classes for all ages; walkers thru 5th grade. Please see ministry pages for specific dates that classes will meet between services.

What are Sunday services like?

Our services currently last about an hour and include many aspects of worship including music, prayer & thanksgiving, confession of sin, Scripture readings, Biblical teaching, and on specific Sundays, the sacraments of baptism and communion. Our musical style could be described as acoustic rock, finding value in both modern hymns as well as contemporary praise songs.

What if I am hearing impaired?

We have hearing assistance devices available. Ask an usher as you come in and they can take you to our sound tech to help you with the device. We also have sign language interpretation available during our service at the front on the left side of the Sanctuary.

What does NPC believe?

We believe that we are all sinners without hope except for the salvation offered through Jesus Christ. We are theologically reformed and our beliefs are consistent with our denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America. For more specifics, check out What We Believe or our denomination's site.

Can I take Communion?

All who profess faith in Jesus Christ and dependence on Him for eternal salvation and are a member at an Evangelical church are welcome to take communion. Due to COVID, we are currently serving prepackaged communion elements.

How do I get connected?

If you are ready to find a place to plug in at NPC, email connect@npchurch.org.

Martin Luther once wrote: "This life, therefore, is not righteousness but growth in righteousness, not health but healing, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise; we are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it; the process is not yet finished, but it is going on; this is not the end, but it is the road; all does not yet gleam with glory, but all is being purified.”
