Operation Christmas Child 2020

Start: Sun, November 15   End: Thu, December 31 | 8:30am - 1:00pm

This fall NPC will again support Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child (OCC) program, also known as the Shoebox Ministry. The goal of OCC is to provide shoeboxes filled with toys near Christmastime to children all over the world. Shoeboxes are used as a tool to provide the Gospel to children that otherwise may not be introduced to the Word. As a result of the worldwide impact of COVID-19, it may be more important than ever before to support this Ministry.

In past years, shoeboxes have been handed out, filled, returned and delivered to an OCC collection point. This year, as a result of the pandemic and a concern for safety we are asking those interested to go online to samaritanspurse.org/buildonline and select one of the options to virtually build a shoebox. One option is to have the OCC staff select the contents and pack the box. Another option is to select the toys yourself and then have the OCC staff pack the box.

If you desire to fill a shoebox yourself, Samaritan's Purse still plans to collect shoebox gifts in over 4,000 locations across the U.S., with each one offering a curbside drop-off option.

Most questions that you may have can be answered on the Shoe Box FAQ page or by David McChristian. Virtual shoeboxes can be built between now and 12/31. Our prayer is that you will continue to support this Ministry.
